The final photo is only part of the experience of taking analog pictures. Mainly the goal is to be out and about and find beautiful sceneries to capture on a trip or create memories with friends. However, transport of Polaroid cameras is difficult due to their bulky shape. Taking photos by hand also creates blurry images.

Inspired By

The basis for this case study is the instant camera brand Polaroid. Since around 2021 and the release of the Polaroid Go, the Polaroid company is developing more towards a lifestyle brand for young and outgoing people, moving away from their image of (vintage) instant camera enthusiasts.

Form Language

The designed camera storage is mounted on a bicycle, to act as a storage on the road to be used instead of a tripod as well. The protective cover is similar in style to the filters used by the Polaroid Go. The form elements are based on Polaroid’s shape language.
